Rune Breaker is a Fantasy Adventure web serial novel straddling the line between the Dungeon Punk and Gaslamp Fantasy genres.
It follows the former slave, Taylin, who happens upon the Rune Breaker, an ancient weapon sought after by only the most evil of souls. As it happens, the Rune Breaker is actually Ru Brakar, a wizard from the prehistory of the World of Ere who is bound to serve whoever happens upon him as punishment for great evil in his past.
When Taylin accidentally orders Ru to save her from the horrible time she was born into, they find themselves in an unfamiliar future, with strange allies and embroiled in a sinister plot by a creature almost as ancient and even more evil than Ru himself.
